GEDDES, N.Y. -- Most spend the final fair day roaming the grounds, while others were packing up their “traveling” homes at the Empire RV Park.

John and Ivy DeVault are one of dozens who made a home out of the fairgrounds.

While many people at the Empire RV Park are vendors, some like the DeVaults are just there for enjoyment.

The two retired in April and are putting their freedom to good use by going on camping trips.

“I don’t know if it’s because I grew up on a farm. I don’t know what it is. We just love it here,” Ivy said.

Ivy says she’s gone to the fair for the last 64-years -- she’s 65-years old.
