Getting into the New York State Fairgrounds took much longer than many fair-goers expected Saturday.

With more than 130,000 people coming through the gates, it caused a few traffic jams and filled up all the parking lots. People who drove say it took them more than an hour to travel just a few miles.

Many people were diverted to the Park-N-Ride at Destiny USA, but that option wasn't much quicker. A long line wrapped around the parking lot as people tried to get on a bus to the fairgrounds.

Some fair-goers say they expected the large crowds and came prepared.

"We purposely left Auburn early because we knew with Ozzy Osbourne coming to town and it being the last Saturday of the fair, it was going to be busy so we purposefully left early. And when we saw the traffic backup on 690, we were a little bit worried so we decided to come down here and take the bus in," said Jayda Calhoun, of Auburn.

Saturday's attendance was the largest the fair has ever had in one day.
