Two of the Syracuse University students suspended as part of the Theta Tau case have now re-enrolled in classes.

The information comes as the school pushes to shut down a secondary lawsuit filed in Jefferson County.

In a letter to the federal court that was previously hearing the case, SU asked for the case to remain in that court instead and for the federal judge to issue a ruling immediately.

School officials say the violations and presence of those students on campus cause irreparable harm.

Last April, videos surfaced with Theta Tau members making what the chancellor called racist, homophobic and bigoted jokes.

The situation sparked campus-wide protests at SU and gained national attention.
