The case of an Irving woman accused of fatally hitting a teenager near Darien Lake and leaving the scene is heading to a grand jury.

Jennifer Serrano, 48, was in Genesee County Court for a bail hearing Monday.

She's charged with vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident.

Serrano is accused of hitting 18-year-old Connor Lynskey from Oneida County and leaving him to die in a ditch.

Both had been separately attending the Jason Aldean concert at Darien Lake and prosecutors say Serrano later hit the college student as he walked along the road back to his campsite.

It was later revealed that Serrano had been pulled over and arrested for DWI afterwards allegedly hitting Lynskey, but he had not been reported missing yet and the suspect didn't tell deputies about it.

Serrano's attorney asked for a reduced bail.

"The defendant is accused of having fled the scene and not reporting it a short time later when she came into contact with the Sheriff's office,” said Genesee County District Attorney Lawrence Friedman. “Our position is that she's already fled once."

The judge kept Serrano's bail at $100,000 cash or $200,000 bond.

The case goes before the Genesee County grand jury next Tuesday.
