Jamesville-DeWitt graduate Rasheed Baker was killed in June of 2017.

Syracuse police issued a new call for information about Baker's death on Monday.

He was shot on the 600 block of Barnes Avenue on June 5th 2017.

Police say they hope new leads will surface, but added there was no specific reason for the timing of this request.

Rasheed's mother says she's positive her son's killer will be found.

Mondays call shows her she isn't alone in thinking that way.

"It makes me feel great to know that they're still pushing," Caldwell said. "That means the community is still pushing and that keeps giving me hope to keep pushing. We know that we know somebody knows."
