One of the people looking to replace Anthony Brindisi in the 119th Assembly District had his name removed from the ballot.
The Oneida County Board of Elections got a state Supreme Court order to remove Democrat Christopher Salatino.
The decision involves alleged problems with his petition signatures.
Salatino released a statement, saying in part, "The judge did not find that I engaged in any fraudulent activity, and I can assure you that I did not. I believe that I should not be held accountable for the errors of a few.
It’s important to remember that there were more than 500 of the required signatures to be on the ballot, and that every person who signed a petition intended to sign for me."
Salatino is bringing his case to the court of appeals.
Three other candidates remain on the ballot: Democrat Marianne Buttenschon and Republicans Dennis Bova and Frederick Nichols.
