Aerial spraying for mosquitos in Onondaga County has been rescheduled for this weekend.

The county plans to spray the Cicero Swamp on Sunday at 7:00 p.m., weather permitting. This comes after evidence of the triple-E virus was found in a mosquito pool.

The area to be sprayed runs from Route 31 in the north to Taft Road in the south and Northern Boulevard on the west to the county line in the east. Anyone in that area is advised to stay indoors with windows closed from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., along with any pets.

It's safe to use central air conditioning, but window units should be set to circulate indoor air. You'll also want to bring any children's toys and outdoor furniture inside, or wash them thoroughly before using.

If the weather isn't favorable, spraying will be moved to the next appropriate day.
