SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Dick's Collision has been fixing cars on Salina Street since 1964. A fire broke out in the body shop Saturday Night.

Fortunately no one was hurt, but crews battled flames for more than an hour and faced unexpected hazards.

"Every time they hit the fire with water, electrical sparks started arcing," said Syracuse Fire Chief Michael Monds. "It was a dangerous situation."

Once power was shut off for the block the flames were put out. The next morning, Dick Dulasky wasted no time starting to rebuild.

"We dont fool around. One of my favorite sayings is 'lead, follow, or get out of my way,'" Dulasky said.

In his own words, Dulasky says his building looks totaled. but it's actually not somehting he's worried about. He says after fixing totaled cars for 50 years, this totaled building should be up and running before you know it.

"We're working on getting it all back together," Dulasky said. "Dick's Collision will be back in business by Wednesday."
