Doctors say the only man convicted in a notorious Central New York case may soon pass.

Gary Thibodeau is serving 25 years to life for the kidnapping of Heidi Allen. She disappeared from a New Haven convenience store in 1994.

Thibodeau has maintained his innocence to this day.

His case has been going through an appeals process that has lasted years. During that time his health has deteriorated.

Attorney Lisa Peebles says doctors believe that Thibodeau may not make it through the weekend.

He's been in hospice care for months.
