SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- More than 100 children around the Syracuse community will enjoy their time learning this summer.

Spectrum donated $2,500 to Syracuse Community Connections to help fund their summer camp.

Kids will be able to take part in STEM activities, arts and crafts, sports, and more.

Mayor Ben Walsh says more programs like this are needed in the city.

"All of our kids have great potential and if we can just help keep them on the right path, the sky's the limit for them,” Walsh said.

"That support, that generous support from Spectrum is huge to help us to do this," said Syracuse Community Connections CEO Lawrence Williams.

Spectrum, which is the parent company of Spectrum News, also donated $1,500 to the camp last summer.
