SYRACUSE, N.Y. --A big weekend ahead in downtown Syracuse, to showcase 170 artists from across the country and Canada.

The 48th annual Arts and Crafts festival is in Columbus Circle Friday through Sunday.

It's one-of-four festivals going on downtown through the weekend.

More than 50,000 people are expected to visit the area.

"The last weekend of July is a really active weekend for downtown Syracuse. We have our Arts and Crafts festival here in Columbus Circle. We've got the Sidewalk Chalk Painting Festival that happens on Saturday on Montgomery Street, the Stage of Nations Ecofest in Hanover Square, and then the Northeast Jazz and Wine Festival in Clinton Square," said Syracuse Downtown Committee Executive Director Merike Treier.

The Downtown Committee has also partnered with numerous businesses to offer deals and specials all weekend.
