Trumansburg is all about the love of music this weekend for the annual Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival.

More than 15,000 people from all over the country are making the trip to this year's event. The festival features local artists along with music from around the world. One of the new additions this year is 90 more acres of camping space. Organizers say one of the most important things is really the mission behind the music.

"Ithaca is a hotbed of music and always has been. So we want to embellish that and grow the whole music theme here. We support music in schools with our proceeds. So we actually bring bands from all over the world and we'll put it them in a grade school," said John Chmiel, Marketing & Media Relations Director.

Bands will continue to play through Sunday. The last performance is set for 7:30pm.
