UTICA, N.Y. -- Some upgrades could be coming to the Utica City School District's athletic facilities.

Board members and the Superintendent say the public will have a chance to vote on three referendums made up of different projects.

Here's a look at them:

Proctor Base Referendum - Voter Question 1 ($5,925,000)

Proctor High School

    • Field House - Team Building/Storage

    • Lower Concession Stand and Public Toilets

    • Artificial Turf Replacement

    • Track Resurfacing/Replacement

    • New Scoreboard

    • Tennis Court Reconstruction

    • Minor Building Renovations

JFK/Donovan - Voter Question 2 ($4,725,000)

John F. Kennedy Middle School

    • Track and In-Field Reconstruction

    • Portable Bleachers

    • Support Building Improvements

    • Minor Building Renovations

James Donovan Middle School  

    • Track and In-Field Reconstruction

    • Portable Bleachers

    • Support Building

    • Minor Building Renovations

Additional Investment -Voter Question 3 ($4,325,000)

Proctor High School

    • Upper Concession Stand

    • Stadium Lighting Replacement

    • Practice Field Reconstruction

    • Practice Field Storage/Support Building

John F. Kennedy Middle School

    • Field Reconstruction

James Donovan Middle School

    • Field Reconstruction

 

When combined, all of the projects come to almost $15 million.

Proposition 3 cannot pass unless voters also approve Propositions 1 and 2.

The vote is on August 14th. 

There will be community meetings about it, but first, school leaders are waiting to find out if the state will help with the costs.

"Whatever it is, we'll bring back good taxpayers and we'll tell them so they know going in exactly what they face. We want this to be an open process," said Utica City School District Board Vice President Donald Dawes.

There will only be five polling locations.
