UTICA, N.Y. -- A man wanted in connection with a homicide in Utica last week has been arrested in Pennsylvania.

Utica police say 34-year-old Omar Ortiz was taken into custody near Erie, Pennsylvania over the weekend.

Officers were called to Bleecker Street for reports of a shooting on Thursday.

They found 25-year-old Deon Williams in the back of the building with gunshot wounds.

He later died at the hospital.

Police say Ortiz will face extradition and be brought back to Utica to face charges.
