This weekend is Watertown's 5th annual Juneteenth Celebration, and there will be a special guest for the occasion.

Bayyinah Bello is coming all the way from Haiti. Bello is an internationally known humanitarian, historian and professor.

She has her own research foundation in Haiti dedicated to the re-discovery of early African history.

Bello plans to discuss the involvement of women in the Haitian Revolution.

"Women, men, children and elders fought for freedom, unfortunately in many of our islands, our victories aren't in the books," said Bello.

There will also be live performances and vendors from across the state at the celebration.
