NATIONWIDE – Marriott guests will soon have an additional occupant in their hotel rooms.

Amazon has partnered with Marriott to create Alexa for Hospitality. Guests can request an Amazon Echo for their rooms to provide them with hotel information, order room service, request housekeeping, call the concierge and more.

The announcement said the goal is to provide guests with innovative ways to provide information, amenities and services during their stay.

"Alexa for Hospitality makes your hotel stay a little more like being at home and gives hospitality providers new ways to create memorable stays for their guests,” said Amazon Vice President Daniel Rausch.

The Alexa experience will also be offered at Westin Hotels, St. Regis Hotels, Aloft Hotels, and Autograph Collection Hotels.

The service rolls out this summer.
