Area residents hit the pavement in the inaugural Ride for Regan.

Regan Shetsky died in 2017 after being hit by a driver in her nursery school parking lot.

She was just three-years-old.

Saturday, friends, family and community members came together to celebrate her life.

They were escorted by police in a ride from Destiny USA to the fairgrounds.

Regan's family said they are proud to see so much community support and help in remembering Regan.

"I think it's really important for us to keep remembering Regan because she was taken from us so abruptly and tragically that this is the least that we can do,” said Regan’s Mother Kelly Shetsky. “It's hard to even put in words, but this is the least we can do."

Money raised from the ride go towards Regan's Act of Kindness, a campaign to help remember Regan, her smile and to share that smile with others.
