DURHAM, N.C. — Some neighbors want to crack open a case and find a group of vandals.

  • Neighbors say their cars are being egged
  • Residents say they haven't called police
  • Egg pieces are scattered on roads

They say their cars are getting repeatedly egged. It's happening along West Knox Street near North Buchanan Boulevard. Several cracked eggshells littered the streets.

“Well I'm definitely worried whoever did this is going to come back, maybe hit the windshield,” says Andrews Carr, who spotted his girlfriend's car egged on Friday morning. Pieces of the egg white and yolk were found in the headlight.

Eddrick Williams says he caught a group of guys throwing eggs at his two trucks earlier this week and tried to chase them in his truck.

"They flew down the street and I figured by that time...I was like (it's) 'a bunch of kids probably having fun," he says. “I mean I'm not making a big fuss about it, but like I said, they could be doing something worse.”

Residents say even though they have a mess to clean up, they haven't called the police.
