UTICA, N.Y. -- Some exciting news for Utica's favorite feathered family.

The Peregrine Falcons, Astrid and Ares, welcomed two new chicks on Wednesday morning.

It was less than a day after bird watchers spotted the first small hole in the egg shells.

Astrid and Ares have lived in Utica the last few years in a nest box on the Adirondack Bank building.

Two more eggs are in the nest box, and members are always keeping a close eye for updates.
