SYRACUSE, N.Y.-- There has been quite a bit of progress recently on a new development project in Syracuse's Inner Harbor.

COR Development is hoping to have the 180,000 square foot project complete by October. It will include 112 apartment units along with retail shops and restaurants.

Leasing for the one and two room apartments is underway, while COR is still looking at options to fill the retail space.

Officials say the project is just the beginning of more to come for the Inner Harbor.

"We are going out to folks that we think would be a good fit. And, some of them are seeking us out as well.  And, they're going to be great boutique type restaurants and retailers to play off of," said COR Development Leasing Development VP Vince Claps.

Claps said once the project is complete, COR is also planning to add another 100 units of luxury apartments as well.

The new apartments will be part of this year's Syracuse Downtown Living Tour on May 19th.
