The Boy Scouts of America organization is changing the name of their flagship program to make it more inclusive for girls. Starting next year, the boy scout program created for boys 11 to 17, will be called Scouts: BSA and girls will be allowed to join their troops.

"I think it's very good actually. I know there's quite a few girls that would like to be involved and do camping. And there's girl scout troops that don't do a lot of camping and there's boy scouts that do," said Shelley Trace, a volunteer with the boy scout program.

Most of the programs offered by the Boy Scouts of America were already co-ed, including the Cub Scouts.
