A Utica business is helping to raise awareness and acceptance for people with autism.

The Bagel Grove is partnering with the Kelberman Center for a program called 'Bagel Bonanza.' Autistic teens are given a chance to learn how to make bagels from scratch.

This week, they made rainbow bagels in honor of Autism Awareness Month.

"It's a nice recreation experience we have as well as getting the skills necessary for vocational skills as well to possibly pursue a job in the baking industry, which a couple of them are looking forward to doing," said Christopher Jones, the community leisure and learning coordinator with the Kelberman Center.

$1 from each rainbow bagel sold is being donated to the Kelberman Center.
