The city of Syracuse is reeling after three killings in a three day span. A community rally was held near the crime scenes Tuesday evening.

Family members of the most recent victim were in attendance, along with the mayor and the police chief.

Residents say finding the person responsible should not fall on the police alone, asking neighbors to pitch in.

"The city of Syracuse needs our help. They need much more than us just being on Facebook saying what is not happening. We need to put our hands to the plow, we need to put our feet to the ground and really start working this thing out and really do what we are called to do and that's be agents of change," said Nitch Jones, the rally's organizer.

The group is hoping that this will serve as a call to action for residents to peacefully keep city neighborhoods safe.
