Medical students laid down for change.

Upstate Medical University Health Professionals and students held a die-in.

The students say the peaceful demonstration was a call to action for racial justice in the wake of the shooting of Stephon Clark on March 18th. He was shot and killed in Sacramento, California, in his own backyard.

Demonstrators demanded police accountability in Central New York and nationwide.

These medical students say racial injustices spread to other facets of life as well, including healthcare.

Upstate was one of many medical schools across the nation holding die-in's Tuesday.
