A local group that gives food to the homeless says they have so many volunteers, they now need more space.

Every Saturday morning, volunteers get together for "Sandwich Saturdays" to make healthy lunches for the homeless.

They hand them out under the Dickerson Street bridge.

Although it started out as bagged lunches, the group also serves chili, hot chocolate and gives out clothes.

The group has outgrown their Oak Street office. Some Saturdays, more than 300 people help out.

Organizer Al-amin Muhammad was once homeless himself. Last month, Mayor Ben Walsh declared March 19th, "Al-amin Muhammad Day."

He is looking for a space that can accommodate 200 volunteers and has a kitchen.
