LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. -- It might be called, "A Quiet Place", but it was noisy when Little Falls residents saw their city in the movie for the first time. "They stomped. They clapped. They yelled. It was nice," said Kathryn Carrig of Little Falls.

"This is the theater to be at because after you see the movie, you can go down through our Main Street and you can actually see what you saw in the movie, and then stop out and have a drink or a sandwich," said Valley Cinema owner Chris Anderson. "There's a lot to offer in Little Falls these days."

"A Quiet Place" is about a family of four navigating their lives in silence after mysterious creatures that hunt by sound threaten their survival. Actor John Krasinski and his wife, actress Emily Blunt, are in the film. Krasinski directed it.

"I liked it very much," said Carrig. "I just, it's not my type of movie. I don't like being scared, and there was a lot of loud noises where it made you jump and everything, but the meaning behind it and the family and the bonding, it made you think a lot. There was a lot of good stuff that came out of it."

The Little Falls mayor said those involved with the movie commented on how much they enjoyed their time in the city at the movie's premiere. He hopes this will draw more film production companies to the city.
