First it was a new flight from Allegiant Air -- now another low-cost carrier is coming to Syracuse, bringing four non-stop destinations.

Officials at Hancock Airport announced the addition of Frontier Airlines Wednesday.

Frontier will bring service to Denver, Raleigh, Chicago and Orlando starting this summer.

That brings the number of non-stop destinations from Syracuse up to 21.

"What I'm hoping this will do is create a little bit of competition, give people options,” said Hancock International Airport Executive Director Christina Callahan. “We say this all the time. We want our passengers to have options, whether that's airline, ground transportation, we want people to choose what works for them."

Flights to Denver and Raleigh will begin in July, with Chicago and Orlando following in August.
