HERKIMER, N.Y. -- The SUNY Chancellor made a stop in Herkimer, Tuesday. She's visiting schools throughout the state.

Dr. Kristina Johnson became the 13th Chancellor last September.

She spent the afternoon meeting with and answering questions from Herkimer College faculty and students.

Johnson hopes more people will become aware of the programs offered at nearby community colleges, and is looking ahead.

"We will be looking at programs that will attract more of our students to come to SUNY and come to all the campuses, especially as we get all of our articulation agreements and seamless transfer working at every single campus," said SUNY Chancellor Dr. Kristina Johnson.

Herkimer College officials recently announced that three-media programs will be discontinued.

However, new progarms could be coming. The College President said they're looking into electrical technology, health professions, and supply chain management.
