FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- A Churchville Army soldier assigned to the  82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg remains missing.

Sgt. Carl Seeman's family members say he was living his dream in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne.

According to officials at Fort Bragg, the 25-year-old did not report to the base on Sunday morning. His truck was found in the parking lot of a Fayetteville Walmart, unlocked, with his cell phone inside.

Seeman's mother, Jennifer Seeman, says she last spoke to her son last Thursday. His grandfather, Jim Maloney, said Carl was looking forward to upcoming training in Louisiana.

"Carl stepped forward to do his part for his country, now I'm asking the the country to do a little part helping us find him. Help us get him home. Get him back to his family," said Maloney.

Seeman is a six-year Army veteran who signed up right out of Churchville-Chili High School.

The Army says Seeman is now considered AWOL.

Anyone with information on his disappearance is asked to contact their local law enforcement.
