The nice weather brought out a big crowd in Syracuse to support the 24th annual "White Ribbon Walk."

The campaign raises awareness about domestic and sexual violence, as well as money for the nonprofit 'Vera House.' Those wearing white made a pledge to not commit this kind of abuse or remain silent on the issue.

Organizers said it's important for men to get involved in the movement too.

"This is an issue that affects us all, but we really want to start conversations to engage men as leaders to stand with women, to stand behind women to create the cultural shift that we need to end domestic and sexual violence,” said Vera House Prevention Educator Eric McGriff.

Officials said about 20,000 community members got involved in last year's "White Ribbon Campaign."
