The victim in a Utica stabbing has succumbed to his injuries, leading to upgraded charges in the case.
40-year-old Nicholas White died Wednesday.
He was one of two men stabbed in an apartment on John Street on March 16.
Originally charged with attempted murder, Utica Police said the suspect, 35-year-old Edmond Hyatt is now charged with second degree murder.
He also faces charges of burglary, attempted assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
