A Skaneateles man is facing multiple charges following a crash that killed one person and seriously injured two others earlier this month.

The Cayuga County Sheriff's office charged 53-year-old Stephen Landon with first-degree vehicular manslaughter, two counts of first degree vehicular assault and aggravated DWI Wednesday.

Sheriff's deputies said Landon's vehicle crossed the center line and hit an oncoming vehicle on Route 34 near the Fleming Scipio Town Line Road on March 3.

The driver of the other car, 25-year-old Travis Manwaring of Auburn, died at the scene. Two passengers were also seriously injured in the crash.

Authorities said Landon was intoxicated and had alcohol inside his vehicle at the time of the crash.

Landon was formally charged after he was released from a Syracuse hospital following more than two weeks of treatment.
