Many travelers leaving out of Syracuse were stuck with no place to go.

Commuters looking to get to their destination from the Regional Transportation Center Wednesday said they didn't know they couldn't leave.

Governor Cuomo issued a Travel Advisory beginning at 8:00 a.m. due to the expected weather conditions.

Certain vehicles, like trucks and buses, are restricted from entering stretches of the Thruway, Interstate 81 and other highways around the state.

But the ban left many people frustrated and angry, saying enough was not done to warn them.

One of the travelers, Fred Turner, was traveling to New York City for his dad's funeral and isn't sure he will make it.

Greyhound officials said in order to protect customers and drivers they will only operate when weather conditions are safe. They will also provide refunds to those who request one.
