BRIDGEPORT, N.Y. -- The gaming industry continues to expand in Central New York. The Oneida Nation opened its new casino, Point Place, in Bridgeport Thursday.

Excited customers couldn't wait to get inside and play. With nearly 500 slot machines and 20 table games there's something for everyone. There are also several restaurants and bars.

Many think it's a good fit for the area.

"I prefer the smaller casinos. I like Turning Stone because there is so much to do there, but I like to come to Yellow Brick and the smaller casinos because they're close and easy to get around,” said Mary Sue Kurtz, a Liverpool resident.

Point Place created more than 200 jobs, and is open 24 hours.
