Seven Syracuse firefighters were honored during a promotion ceremony, Wednesday.
It happened at Syracuse City Hall.
The Fire Chief said it was a great time to recognize what they and their families go through.
He said things are going well.
"We've been working with our union and we've been coming up with different committees to try to make sure we can keep all our firefighters safe so we can keep the residents and the citizens safe," said Syracuse Fire Chief Michael Monds.
The Chief added it was nice to have an event bringing everyone together.
