The NAACP of Syracuse outlined a hefty agenda in their first-ever State of the Community address.

President Linda Brown-Robinson gave the address Thursday, highlighting key items including snow removal, gun violence, violence at large, community policing and poverty.

Brown-Robinson says it's important to protect and speak for the most vulnerable and voiceless.

"Cause everything that goes on in this community is not all about negativity, it is not,” Brown-Robinson said. “We have some stories to tell and this is Black History Month, come out and see what we're about but don't make it just about February. Make it about the other eleven months of the year."

Other agenda items included segregation based on housing patterns, unemployment and media disparity, homelessness and poverty as well as job creation.
