Reaching out to the Syracuse Police Department is at your finger-tips.

The department announced some new features available on the SPDTips app Tuesday. It can be downloaded on the App Store or Google Play.

Police said you can sign up to get community alerts.

You can also anonymously report tips and upload photos through the app.

“These are all eyes and ears of folks that have an intimate knowledge of the neighborhood. Not just eyes and ears, but an intimate knowledge of what's suspicious and what isn't,” said Syracuse Police Department First Deputy Chief Joseph Cecile.

In an emergency, Police urge you to call 911 immediately.
