Michigan State's Athletic Director stepped down in the wake of the Larry Nassar sexual abuse scandal.

Mark Hollis announced his retirement Friday after 10 years in the role.

Nassar worked for the school as well as being a doctor for USA Gymnastics.

He was sentenced Wednesday to 40-175 years in prison after accusations of molesting dozens of women and girls.

Michigan State's president resigned earlier this week amid outcry over the handling of allegations against Nassar.

The U.S Department of Education said it is investigating Michigan State.
