At a time when sexual harassment is one of the most talked about issues in the country, a newly released Siena Research Institute poll finds the majority of New Yorkers say sexual harassment in the workplace is a "significant problem."

The poll found that 25 percent of the 824 surveyed have been victims of sexual harassment.

In total, 36 percent of women say they have been harassed in the last five years. And 29 percent report in this poll that they have been treated unfairly because of race, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation.

When New Yorkers were asked about race relations in the state 39 percent said they are excellent, while 35 percent say they're good.

A 2015 survey from Siena College found that 31 percent held a positive view of race relations, compared to 66 percent who did not.

The poll of 824 registered voters was conducted from January 7 to Janunary 11 and has a margin of error of 4 percentage points.
