SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Police are searching for a suspect after a man was seriously injured on the city's Southside.

Officers were called to the 2600 block on Midland Avenue just after 10 a.m. Friday. 

They arrived to find a 27-year-old man who had been stabbed in the back.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he's in critical, but stable condition.

Police only have a very limited description of a possible suspect.
