Three months after his initial arrest, an Oswego County man has been arraigned in connection with a child abuse case out of Albion.

Shawn Whaley is facing 12 criminal counts, including coercion and unlawful imprisonment, related to punishment that was allegedly given to a 10-year-old girl.

The child told police that she had been hit, deprived of food and water, and even tied up to a vehicle and forced to run.

Three other people have also been charged in the case.  They are all facing assault charges.

Whaley's attorney has challenged his client's role in the alleged abuse, but he's still been held in jail, unable to post bail since August 31.

Bail was set at $7,500 this time around.
