While the senate continues to debate tax reform, dozens of constituents are voicing their displeasure.

Wednesday, teachers from Binghamton to Syracuse protested the proposed bill. They say it would hurt middle-class Americans like themselves, and they would lose a $250 deduction for school supplies. They say the bill would instead benefit billionaires and large corporations.

"It's a huge giveaway to the wealthiest among us," said high school teacher Donna Oppedisano. "Teachers who spend thousands of their own dollars every year to help students in classrooms, to make sure students who don't have backpacks have backpacks, to make sure they have the supplies in the classroom won't be able to deduct their measly $250 deduction."

The Senate is expected to vote on the bill later this week.
