Christina Gutkin has lived in an apartment building on Galloway Drive for four years. She can't say the recent homicide in her neighborhood comes as a shock.

"Management called us to see if we owned a silver car," Gutkin said. "And the police showed up at about 1 in the morning asking questions in our building, and then I heard the news report and a few messages. We put it together that was probably him. So I called the police."

The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office says the victim, 25-year-old Jacob Giarrusso, was found with his car on the property. Authorities had reported Giarrusso missing Monday. His family last saw him Saturday.

A cause of death has not been released. No arrests have been made.
