A Boonville man is dead after a logging accident in Oneida County.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Department says rescue crews were called to a wooded area on Elpis Road in the town of Vienna around 1:30 Thursday afternoon. When they arrived, they found 72-year-old Gilbert Martin injured and trapped in the woods. He was rescued and taken to an area hospital, where he later died.
The investigation is ongoing.
