SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- One vehicle was badly damaged in a crash with a fire response truck in Syracuse Sunday night.

The fire truck was responding to an emergency call around 6:30 p.m.

It was crossing intersection of East Fayette Street and Cherry Street when another driver came through and struck the side of the truck.

The driver of the Jeep, 28-year-old, Lawrence Johnson, was ticketed for not yielding the right of way to an emergency vehicle and unlicensed operation.

No one was injured in the crash.
