MANLIUS, N.Y. -- The Manlius Fire Department is finally in its new home. The municipality's two fire houses are now under one roof, a brand new facility on Cazenovia Road.

The $10.8 million project includes a new gym, a new space career and volunteers to lounge, improved bunk accommodations among other changes.

However, the biggest change in this new facility is much more space which was a challenge in the former locations.

At one point just getting fire apparatus in and out of the station was a challenge, now they don't have to worry about that.

Another major advantage is having everything they need under one roof. Previously equipment and vehicles might have been at two separate locations.
