Some parents in the Syracuse city school district are expressing concern about communication following a shooting near a school.

The call for shots fired came in just before noon Thursday, on Fitch Street. That's just across the street from Delaware Elementary. The school went into lock-out, and no one was injured.

A car in the area was shot up, though, and some parents tell us they should have been told more about the situation. The district says the principal contacted all parents by phone and sent a letter home.

No arrests were made.
