Buddy Boeheim, the son of Syracuse University head basketball coach Jim Boeheim, will be Orange-bound come next fall.
Buddy made the announcement via social media Friday, after about a year of speculation.
In his commitment video, he describes his childhood aspirations to play for his father and says it will be an honor to do so at SU.
Boeheim will spend the next year at Brewster Academy in New Hampshire in preparation for the big move. This comes after Gonzaga showed interest in Buddy offering him a scholarship.
Buddy averaged 26 points and nearly 10 rebounds per game last season for Jamesville-DeWitt.
