Authorities are searching for the drivers of two vehicles who may have seen last month's deadly pedestrian crash in Syracuse.

It happened just before 1 a.m. on August 26 along the 300 block of North Salina Street.

Police say 30-year-old Ernest Collins was hit while he was lying in the road. He later died from his injuries.

The driver stayed on scene and claims they didn't see Collins. They are not facing any charges at this time.

Police say a car was seen on North Salina Street, blowing the horn to alert other drivers of a person being in the road. It's described as a gray older model, four-door sedan.

Officers say a different vehicle was also seen on North Salina Street, when the crash occurred. It's a gray newer model, SUV with a moon roof.
