UTICA, N.Y. -- The Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Utica celebrated its first day Tuesday.

It's formerly known as the "Hotel Utica," but several upgrades have been made, like adding a small gym area in some rooms.

What's called a "Five Feet to Fitness" kiosk guides guests through workouts, with a Wattbike, medicine balls, weights and more.

Equipment is sanitized every day, and noise throughout the building shouldn't be an issue because of how the floor is designed.

This is one of the first hotels with this program.

"We're the third in the whole country, actually the whole world, that has this 'Five Feet to Fitness Program' which Hilton is really trying to spread throughout the country. People are getting behind fitness and it's a big thing right now, and our owners were very interested in being one of the first hotels to do this," said general manager Lee Arthur.

Other upgrades include a new parking lot, renovated lobby and renovated rooms.
